Recent research has demonstrated the power of exercise on brain functioning and mental health. Running/ walking therapy combines traditional psychotherapy with movement to allow for a unique therapeutic experience that transcends the couch! Our Services

Dr. Beth Connolly is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in treating a variety of mental health disorders in populations of all ages. Your initial assessment will provide Dr. Beth with background information and serve as the starting point for goal-setting given your unique needs and challenges. Running sessions will take place outside the office (weather permitting) and last approximately 50 minutes). Dr. Beth is comfortable working with individuals, families, and couples alike. What Is Running Therapy?

Running therapy is a form of psychotherapy that utilizes the movement of running or walking as a medium for processing experience and emotion. It takes traditional talk therapy to the streets, and provides the individual with an alternative mode of working through various issues while simultaneously shifting one’s relationship with their body.

This Is My Happy Pace: Therapeutic Running Services is a self-pay service tailored to your treatment needs and goals. Contact Dr. Connolly to discuss fees and to inquire further about how to start your path toward your happy pace. Initial sessions will take place in the office and subsequent sessions will include movement to complement talk therapy. In order to be eligible for running/ walking sessions, no experience is required. Your pace will be determined as we move forward together.

Our Practice

This Is My Happy Pace: Therapeutic Running Services, PLLC, was founded in 2018 and is New England’s first therapeutic running practice. Psychotherapy sessions are conducted while moving, allowing for a unique therapeutic experience that transcends traditional talk therapy interventions.

About Dr. Connolly

Beth Connolly completed her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, before attending Antioch New England University in Keene, NH, to pursue her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology. She completed her doctoral studies in 2009 and obtained her license in the state of NH in 2010. Dr. Connolly has worked for over ten years at a group practice in Southern New Hampshire treating a variety of age populations and presenting concerns. Dr. Connolly possesses a personal passion for running having completed over 30 marathons. She is excited to integrate her love for running into her clinical repertoire in order to help you to be your best you.
